Chris Eyte serves as International Correspondent for CDI, covering Europe, the United States & Canada, the Caribbean and Oceania. He has worked in journalism and copywriting for some 17 years, mostly for Christian media publications in the UK, the US and Australia. He is an English graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland where he was President of the St Andrews Literary Society. In his free time, he enjoys writing devotionals and runs his own blog (hislovefrees.life). Chris has traveled extensively, living briefly in South Africa and Belgium, and now resides in South Wales in the UK with his wife and children.

The purpose of the MissieNederland (Dutch evangelical alliance) survey was to gauge the need for, and the future of, the national alliance.

Ancient decorative mosaic noted for first inscription of Jesus as God on display at Museum of the Bible

The Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. (U.S.) is currently displaying the earliest known inscription identifying Jesus as God in the form of a mosaic found in ancient Megiddo, northern Israel, dubbed the “Megiddo Mosaic.” On display from last September until July 6 next year, 2025, the mosaic “adds much to our understanding of early Christian communities in the Holy Land,” according to the Biblical Archaeology Society (BAS).

WEA plans to hold General Assembly 2025 in Seoul spark controversies in Korea days before official announcement

Only weeks after the Fourth Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization concluded in Incheon, Korea, the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) is about to announce plans to hold its next General Assembly in Seoul from October 27-31, 2025. Even before the official announcement ceremony scheduled for this coming Friday (Nov. 15), however, the news has been met with criticism by several Christian groups in the country who have called for the plans to be put on hold.

Canadian evangelical body calls on parliamentarians to support legislation forcing consent and age verification for pornographic websites

The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) has expressed concerns about the lack of age and consent verification by pornography platforms in an opinion submission to a parliamentary committee. The group issued a statement to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights at the House of Commons, meeting Oct. 31 at the Canadian Parliament, in support of Bill c-270, “An Act to amend the Criminal Code (pornographic material)."

Justin Welby, has announced today (November 12) his resignation following concerns about his handling of a sex abuse case involving the deceased John Smyth QC who sexually abused countless boys and young men in the 1970s and 1980s.

12,000 Christians, young, old, male and female, and of various ethnicities, walked through the center of the city of Dublin in excited solidarity for the faith at the first ever “March for Jesus.” All Nations Church and Betania Church, both based in the city, organized the event on Oct. 26, supported by other churches in both Ireland and Northern Ireland.
