Chris Eyte serves as International Correspondent for CDI, covering Europe, the United States & Canada, the Caribbean and Oceania. He has worked in journalism and copywriting for some 17 years, mostly for Christian media publications in the UK, the US and Australia. He is an English graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland where he was President of the St Andrews Literary Society. In his free time, he enjoys writing devotionals and runs his own blog (hislovefrees.life). Chris has traveled extensively, living briefly in South Africa and Belgium, and now resides in South Wales in the UK with his wife and children.

At the opening ceremony of its new six-floor facility, the Hospital Evangèlic de Barcelona (Evangelical Hospital in Barcelona) in the second largest city in Spain celebrated a new phase in its nearly 150-year history - and also its new name. Previously known as Nou hospital evangèlic, the hospital hosted an event on Oct. 25 (2024) with leaders from the evangelical community and wider healthcare field gathered to show their support and appreciation.

Critics of abortion and trans ideology could be silenced in Australia after parliamentarians backed a proposed law to give the country’s media authority more powers, vexing the Australian Christian Lobby. Australian lawmakers approved the “Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2024” in the House of Representatives by 78 votes to 57 on November 7.

Ancient decorative mosaic noted for first inscription of Jesus as God on display at Museum of the Bible

The Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. (U.S.) is currently displaying the earliest known inscription identifying Jesus as God in the form of a mosaic found in ancient Megiddo, northern Israel, dubbed the “Megiddo Mosaic.” On display from last September until July 6 next year, 2025, the mosaic “adds much to our understanding of early Christian communities in the Holy Land,” according to the Biblical Archaeology Society (BAS).

Canadian evangelical body calls on parliamentarians to support legislation forcing consent and age verification for pornographic websites

The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) has expressed concerns about the lack of age and consent verification by pornography platforms in an opinion submission to a parliamentary committee. 12,000 Christians, young, old, male and female, and of various ethnicities, walked through the center of the city of Dublin in excited solidarity for the faith at the first ever “March for Jesus.” All Nations Church and Betania Church, both based in the city, organized the event on Oct. 26, supported by other churches in both Ireland and Northern Ireland.
