He has worked in journalism and copywriting for some 17 years, mostly for Christian media publications in the UK, the US and Australia. He is an English graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland where he was President of the St Andrews Literary Society. In his free time, he enjoys writing devotionals and runs his own blog (hislovefrees.life). Chris has traveled extensively, living briefly in South Africa and Belgium, and now resides in South Wales in the UK with his wife and children.

The new debacle has emerged just weeks after Cottrell’s boss, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev. Justin Welby, resigned over his handling of a serial sex offender, the late John Smyth, in an unrelated case.

UK Government confirms evidence-based 'indefinite ban' on puberty blockers for children and young people: 'unacceptable safety risk'

The U.K. Health Secretary has made existing emergency measures banning puberty-suppressing hormones (blockers) “indefinite” for children aged under 18, following the official advice of medical experts. A press release from the Department of Health and Social Care published yesterday (Dec. 11) confirmed that both the sale and supply of the puberty blockers via private prescriptions to treat gender dysphoria and/or gender incongruence for youngsters not already taking them is no longer allowed.

The Communion of Churches in Korea (CCIK) has joined a growing chorus of voices among Korean churches calling for the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) to halt plans to hold its next General Assembly (GA) in Seoul. In a statement published on Monday (Dec. 2), CCIK – WEA’s national member body in Korea – issued a statement criticizing WEA’s behind-the-scenes negotiations with churches that do not belong to the global body, warning it could lead to “division and conflict”.
