Chris Eyte serves as International Correspondent for CDI, covering Europe, the United States & Canada, the Caribbean and Oceania. He has worked in journalism and copywriting for some 18 years, mostly for Christian media publications in the UK, the US and Australia. He is an English graduate from the University of St Andrews in Scotland where he was President of the St Andrews Literary Society. In his free time, he enjoys writing devotionals and runs his own blog (hislovefrees.life). Chris has traveled extensively, living briefly in South Africa and Belgium, and now resides in South Wales in the UK with his wife and children.

Conservation work by an archaeologist has revealed a previously unknown portrait of the last emperor of Byzantine, Constantine XI Palaiologos (Feb. 8 1404 – May 29 1453), dubbed the last Christian ruler of Constantinople, showing his true likeness in a realistic still life painting, not an idealised art work.

The 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev. Justin Welby, is leaving office today mired in controversy about his safeguarding role over a serial paedophile and after criticism by some Anglican leaders for supporting homosexual unions. “The church will certainly get things wrong. I will certainly get things wrong,” said Welby when he took up the position of archbishop in March 2013, just a year after he became Bishop of Durham. “We will also get much right and do so already.”

King Charles III sends 'good wishes' for UK 'Shine Your Light' campaign to energize 100,000 Christians in evangelistic outreach this Christmas

King Charles III has expressed his support for the “Shine Your Light” campaign that aims to galvanize 100,000 Christians in the U.K. to take part in pop-up carol singing, nativity plays and other creative efforts to help people know Jesus is the King of Kings during the festive period. In a letter sent to the organizers, the King expressed “warmest good wishes” and lauded the efforts to “bring many Christian denominations together, and share in faith this festive period.”
