The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Board of Directors approved nine formal resolutions on “Christian communications, family-first media principles, and global peace and security” at the NRB 2025 International Christian Media Convention on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

press release from the NRB confirmed the resolutions made at the event, which is reported to be the world’s largest gathering of Christian communicators working in media such as radio, television, church media, and digital marketing. Board members for the organization were also confirmed in the same announcement.

“Each year, NRB’s Board of Directors approves a new slate of resolutions expressing the association’s support or opposition to domestic legislation, cultural movements, judicial decisions, geopolitical or international issues, or events of particular importance to NRB members,” the NRB said.

2025 Resolutions

The 2025 resolutions, outlined below, cover a range of topics:

  • Addressing Corporate Threats to Free Speech: NRB supports a reexamination of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 “in light of its original intent.”
The Congressional Research Service explains that the law provides “limited federal immunity to providers and users of interactive computer services.” The NRB urges that “all possible methods be used to address consumer harms and possible violations of the law caused by collusive corporate action.”
  • Applying Wisdom in Use of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology: The NRB urges Christians to show responsibility and wisdom in using AI and related technologies and to oppose “efforts to use AI technology for anti-human and immoral purposes.”
  • Condemning Global Antisemitism: The NRB calls on Christians to vocalize objections to “escalating hostility” toward Jews and Israel, to reject ideologies of hatred and violence, and to “advocate peaceful discourse.”
  • Endorsing Family-First Principles in Media: The NRB calls on state and federal lawmakers, as well as technology developers, to examine “full-stack approaches” to improving online child safety, such as device-level age verification, improving the accuracy of app store ratings, and creating better child-safety functionality for shared devices.
“NRB calls on all Christian communicators, developers, and entrepreneurs to create and innovate safe, robust, and enriching alternatives, including devices, apps, and entertainment, that offer families and youth a positive, safe, and edifying experience online.”
  • Maintaining Access for Christian Broadcasters in the Communications Marketplace: The NRB calls on government and private industry leaders to collaborate and engage with faith-driven communicators.
  • Opposing Weaponization of the Federal Government: The NRB opposes any attempt by the federal government or its agencies to deter freedom of speech or “strike down and silence dissenting viewpoints.”
  • Prayer for U.S. President and 119th Congress: The NRB urges Christians to pray for President Donald J. Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and all members of the government and related authorities.
  • Standing With Persecuted Armenian Christians and Persecuted Christians Worldwide: The NRB expresses solidarity with persecuted Christians in Armenia and around the world.
  • Urging Peace in the Middle East and the Return of Hostages: The NRB calls for “the immediate release of the hostages taken by Hamas” and urges Christians to “pray for the spiritual and physical welfare of all in the region and embrace a vision of peace for the Middle East and an end to deadly warfare.”
