MonitorLatino unveiled list of the 100 best songs of 2024

MonitorLatino, the renowned platform that tracks radio airplay and ranks the most popular songs in the Latino music industry, has unveiled its much-anticipated annual Top 100 list. 

In 2024, Elevation Español left an indelible mark with their hit “Alaba,” a collaboration with Unified Sound, which claimed the coveted #1 spot. This achievement cements the track as a favorite among Latin American listeners.

Montesanto's “Fiesta En El Desierto (La La La)” secured second place, followed by “Danzando” by Gateway Worship Español coming in third. The song features a star-studded lineup of Christian artists, including Becky Collazos, Christine D'Clario, Daniel Calveti, Josh Morales, and Travy Joe. Christine D'Clario's “Tantas Historias” took fourth place, while Daddy Yankee’s “LOVEO” rounded out the top five.

Beyond the remarkable win for Elevation Español, the group’s songs “León” and “Tumbas a Jardines” ranked at #77 and #92, respectively. The recognition underscores the group’s growing influence within the contemporary Christian music landscape.

The year 2023 was equally remarkable for the group with achievements like the release of their album Algo Nuevo Viene, which captivated audiences. Their song “Alaba” was also nominated for Spanish Language Worship Recorded Song of the Year at the prestigious Dove Awards and won Collaboration of the Year at the Arpa Awards in Mexico, further consolidating Elevation Español’s global impact.

Montesanto, a contemporary Christian music band formed in 2015 and composed of Venezuelan musicians Douglas and Yao D'Lima, Sinai Urdaneta, Elvis Amaya, Richeld Vilchez, and David D'Lima, also saw success on the chart. Their song “Bautizados En Fuego” ranked #13, while “Yeshua Hamashiaj” came in at #94.

Gateway Worship Español, a Hispanic worship music collective that collaborates with renowned ministers such as Daniel Calveti, Julian and Becky Collazos, Christine D'Clario, Travy Joe, Josh Morales and Luis Morales of Miel San Marcos, Jacobo Ramos, Julissa Rivera, Armando Sánchez, and Coalo Zamorano, also made an impressive showing. Their songs “Esa Es La Razón” reached #10, “Celebraré” featuring Jacobo Ramos ranked #50, and “Ven Satura” featuring Christine D'Clario secured the #88 spot.

The Top 100 list also highlights contributions from celebrated musicians and singers, including Danilo Montero, Juan Luis Guerra, Alex Campos, Danny Berrios, Lilly Goodman, Marcos Witt, Aline Barros, Samuel Hernández, Marcela Gándara, Santiago Benavides, and many more.
