    Learning from scripture and China to build God's shalom as exiles in even restrictive contexts

    Even in religiously restrictive contexts we have responsibility to actively seek opportunities to build shalom and to pray earnestly for the authorities until we see alternative doors opened for holistically blessing the people around us. This was true for exiles and the persecuted in the Bible, it is true for believers in China. It is true for Christians everywhere.

    When living in restrictive social environments Christians should not simply rely on traditional means to evangelize non-believers. Rather, we need to innovate creative ways to convey our message. Ways derived from the Bible and adapted to wider society through our words and actions.
