The "Star Wars" universes' iconic smuggler Han Solo (Harrison Ford) may really be dead after all. During the release of the seventh "Star Wars" film installment, "Star Wars: Force Awakens," fans' hearts tore asunder as the iconic rebel smuggler Han Solo was killed off by his very own son, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in the middle of a mission to destroy the First Order's Star Killer base.

Now, as the "Star Wars" cinematic universe moves on to its next film, "Star Wars: Episode 8," fans are desperately hoping to see Han well and alive. However, it seems like Carrie Fisher, the actress who plays Han's wife, the Rebel general Leia, believes otherwise.
According to a report by iTech Post, Fisher may have leaked out details about Solo's fate in "Star Wars Episode 8." The actress had hinted out that the next "Star Wars" film would have a funeral scene for the beloved rebel smuggler, quickly correcting herself by saying that the "Star Wars: Episode 8" film would give a proper send-off for Solo.
Though quite vague, this little bit dampens fans' hopes of seeing a revived Solo in the upcoming film, destroying theories that Kylo Ren was actually a spy sent in to gain access to the First Order and that Solo's death was faked in order to gain the trust of Snoke.
Meanwhile, in other "Star Wars: Episode 8" news, News Everyday reports that rumors have been going on saying that the film could feature Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) hidden powers. Theory has it that the last Jedi has been developing some sort of secret skills over the years. Luke would most probably show a few of them in a confrontation in the far planet of Ahch-To in a possible run in with the First Order or in some sort of training sequence with Rey (Daisy Riddley).
"Star Wars: Episode 8" will make its way across the big screen on May 26, 2017.
